As a telephone sales agent you'll be expected to sell the products and services of Shinhan Finance by calling prospective customers. Your day will be mostly spent calling prospects and offering them financial consultancy that helps them carry out their plans to improve their daily lives. Working within a team of other sales agents you'll be set targets and strategies by the Team Supervisor.


Being a telesales agent of Shinhan Finance, you'll be working with fantastic people. There are sales training courses to advance your sales credentials as well as many incentive schemes to boost your income. From telesales you can move up to become a Team Leader, Supervisor, Manager or Director.


Telesales job is very performance driven and highly pressured. Successful professionals are well rewarded financially but there will be an expectation to deliver revenue. A lot of telephone activity needs to take place to communicate with the right people; therefore, even with well-targeted and professional sales approaches, there will be some frustrating days.
It’s also important to be able to deal with negative responses from customers who don't want to talk to you, and above all, you must enjoy the buzz of working under pressure and meeting tough targets. If you can't handle rejection, this may not be the job for you.


Often based in busy call centers you'll work as part of a sales team, so it's not for those that like to work alone. You need to have plenty of confidence to be a successful telesales agent as a charming and persuasive personality will help you sell. Other qualities that will help you up this career ladder are:

Being part of the core engine driving the business, your daily task is to conquer tough sales target and to stand the pressure. You could be doing anything from cold calling and following up leads to developing sales campaigns and finding new customers.

The company offers new entrants a short induction course that covers products and sales administration. Promotion is based on results, and rapid progress is a real possibility in sales. You are always encouraged to move up from Channel to Regional Sales Manager and eventually Sales Director.
